There’s something about ice-out that always feels like the true beginning of the season.
After a long winter, seeing the lake open up again—clear, calm, and full of possibility—never gets old. Early mornings feel a little quieter, the air a little softer, and everything starts to come back to life.
This year, ice-out officially arrived on April 19.
And we had a special helper making sure everything looked just right.
Meet Koda 🐾
He’s already taken his job very seriously—testing the water, exploring the shoreline, and quickly deciding that lake life suits him just fine. We have a feeling many of you will be seeing plenty of him this summer.
We also want to send a big congratulations to our Ice-Out winners, Kyle Hoyle & Oden Ackerman, who guessed April 19 perfectly!
Thank you to everyone who participated—it’s one of our favorite traditions and always a fun way to kick off the season together.
With the lake now open, we’re turning our focus to getting everything ready—cabins, docks, and all the little details that make summer at Two Inlets what it is.
We can feel it coming.
