Additional questions

Do you have...? Where can I...?

When is check-in and check-out?

In June, July, and August we have to be pretty tight on our check-in and check-out times to ensure the cabins are ready for you and the next guests.

  • Check-in is at 4:00 PM
  • Check-out time is at 9:00 AM

With prior arrangements, these times can be flexible in our off-prime weeks, in the spring, fall, & winter.

An email will be sent confirming your times, we ask that you follow those times unless discussed further.

Do the cabins have Wi-Fi?

Our three hillside cabins all have Wi-Fi including Tree TopCabin 8, and Cabin 10.

There is also wi-fi always available in our lodge, as well as the lodge screen porch (accessible 24 hours), or even outdoors of the lodge as well.

We do suggest using a hotspot on your phone if you are hoping for wifi service in the cabins where they aren't provided.

The Park Rapids Library also has rooms to reserve (for interviews or important meetings for example), as well as The Hanger, a co-working space for guests to use.

Do you have TV's in the cabins?

No, the cabins do not have TVs. Our cabins also do not have cable reception, if you bring your own TV. Most guests who bring a TV use it to either play games or watch movies.

Some guests choose to download content up at the lodge on their computer/phone/tablet and then bring to their cabin as an additional option.

(Exception: Cabin 10 does have Smart TV for late fall and winter.)

Do you allow dogs at the resort?

Legal service animals are welcome.

We are a little more flexible with dogs on a case-by-case basis in our non-peak seasons (May, early June, late August, September, & October) only, for an additional fee of $27/night. We like to make sure we are very clear around expectations about bringing a dog as well. We expect dogs to be leashed, cleaned up after (outside and inside the cabin), and not left unattended in the cabin (unless in a crate and doesn’t bark).

We also highly recommend from experience a boarding facility about 20 minutes from the resort as well, Dog’s Paw.

Where is the closest grocery store?

Park Rapids has three grocery stores 14 miles south of the resort. You'll find Hugo’s, Coborn's, and Wal-mart in town. There is also a meat market on Main Street, called (you guessed it) Main Street Meats.

Is there a convenience store close by?

Two Inlets Country Storeis 1.5 miles from the resort, and has pretty much everything from lighter fluid to bread. It’s very convenient & they now offer delicious homemade food & drinks.

Where can I buy a fishing license?

You can buy one at most large fishing and hunting stores in Minnesota (Cabelas, Gander Mountain) which you might pass on your way to the resort.

Two Inlets Country Store sells licenses, as well as Northern Bait and Delaney’s Sporting Goods in Park Rapids. The Department of Natural Resources website also sells them online here.

What exactly is a ‘housekeeping’ cabin?

This means that the cabin is completely equipped for normal living. The kitchen has pots / pans and utensils for cooking; glassware, dishes, flatware and serving bowls for eating; all modern appliances including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster and drip coffee maker. Aside from towels, all linens are provided. In addition, housekeeping also means that we ask that you do your best to keep the cabin clean during your stay.

Do we have access to laundry facilities?

We have a laundry house with a coin operated wash machine and dryer available to all guests. We have laundry soap available, or feel free to bring your own.

Where can I rent a pontoon boat?

From us! We’ve just added a 22' Palm Beach fish & cruise pontoon & a 20′ Misty Harbor fish & cruise pontoon to our fleet. Check out our boat rental page.

If ours is booked, we recommend Water Toys or R&R Rental in Park Rapids.

Where can I rent a ski boat?

For those who would like to water ski, wake board or go tubing, we recommend Water Toys of Park Rapids. Call Chris at 218-252-4725 or 218-732-7778. They'll bring the boat right to Two Inlets Lake public landing and meet you there again for pick up.

If Water Toys is booked up, we recommend R&R Rental in Park Rapids, who will also meet you right at the public landing.

Do you have boat lifts for rent for my personal boat?

Two Inlets Lake is not large enough to really require boat lifts.

While weather is unpredictable, wind usually isn’t a problem. Our docks are high quality and sturdy with excellent bumpers. For the occasional very windy day, you may be more comfortable either beaching your boat or trailering it. The public access for the lake is just one mile from the resort.

Are there ATV and snowmobile trails near you?

We have awesome trails located right on the other side of our lake, the Two Inlets Trail System and Forest Riders Trails.

We highly recommend renting or bringing your ATV in the fall and your snowmobile in the winter.

You can find more information and maps about the Two Inlets Trail System & Forest Riders here.

We welcome ATV and snowmobilers! Stay in Cabin 10 in the winter or any of our other cabins in the fall.

When do you open and close for the season?

  • Openers: We open right along with Minnesota Walleye Opener, typically a couple days beforehand for our annual spring guests. In 2023 our first guests arrive May 12 for our season.

  • Closing: We typically close the weekend closest to October 15, to get cabins buttoned up before water freezes.

  • Year-Round Reunion Cabin: We do keep one cabin, Cabin 10, open year round to use the awesome snowmobile and ATV trails in our area.

How much is the deposit for my cabin or boat?

A deposit of half the rents, before tax, for each cabin and boat reservation is required to hold your reservation.

We will send out a deposit request email with the exact invoice and breakdown.

We can make arrangements to send a payment link or you are welcome to send a check. Phone and e-mail reservations are held 7 days while we await the deposit.

If you'd like to pay your deposit by card, here is a payment link for your convenience.

How do I pay my deposit online?

If you'd rather pay your deposit online versus sending in a check, you can use our Deposit Payment Link.

We also accept Venmo, with a 1.9% fee. Our Venmo name is @twoinletsresort.

We do charge an additional 3% credit card convenience fee with card. Please visit our Rates page for additional information.

Do you take short stay reservations?

During the peak of summer season, we accept weekly reservations from Saturday to Saturday.

If you are preferring a shorter stay, we absolutely take short stays in May through mid-June, and again starting at the end of August through the entire winter. We ask for a 2-night minimum for all short stays.

If you are searching our Availibility calendar online for a short stay, make sure to change your rate to DAILY RATES when searching. It defaults to a full week stay, but there is an option for only nightly stays (2 night minimum) as well.

Who do you recommend for fishing guides?

We do! We think it's so fun to fish with a guide! Here are a few guides who we trust and have had great experiences with:

These guides can either stay with you on Two Inlets lake or choose to fish a different lake in the area.

Where would you recommend we go golfing?

We do have multiple options for golf courses nearby! The closest is Brookside Resort's quick & laidback 9-hole course just down the road from us, otherwise we recommend Eagle View Golf Course or Headwaters Golf Course.
